Donkeys on Grass

Sybil

Okay Sybil, what are we going to write about today? Sybil was a movie in the 70’s based on a true story about multiple personality disorders. Thats how I feel everyday wondering what clothes or personality I’m going to wear that day. So it is with this blog. Many topics to cover.

Lets start with recent readings about Delta Airlines saying “if you can’t behave yourself – no seat for you”. How refreshing. Go to the Principals office – do not collect a trophy. You’ve been banned. Like the soup Nazi on what was it…Seinfeld? Anyway, no soup for you. Yah but, no yah butts. Go somewhere else and take your attitude and behavior with you. Good bye – good riddance.

Well Chuck what do you think? Heres what Chuck thinks. Chuck thinks its darn nice on this Pacific coast down Mexico way. Fresh fruit – baked pastries – organic yoghurt – fresh caught Mahi Mahi – and loads of sunshine and crashing waves. You forgot the dark roast coffee Chuck…that’s like super important.

Gone to Shells

Just back from Launderia and the Fruiteria. How nice to drop off and pickup laundry. Fresh mango, papaya, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, and fresh veggies are abundant. All this in a small village about 20 miles North of Puerto Vallarta called Lo de Marcos. I’ve heard it translated as “That of Marcos” as well as “House of Marcos”….either way Marcos is a nice quaint chill spot with cobblestone streets, Caballeros, (think thats guys on horses), and Mom and Pop shops selling – well you name it. A simple life. Exactly what I seek out these days. Come on Chuck, there has to be some down side. Tell us what you don’t care for….okay you asked for it. How about music till 1:30am and Church gongs at 7:00am. Whiner. Go with the flow Chuck, you’re not in Kansas anymore. Okay okay. Some find dancing till dawn and gongs romantic. You’re a septuagenarian in a few days Chuck…you’ve got to expect these things. Grumpy old men.

Wait a minute….just who is talking here Sybil? After a nights rest, who arose this morning out of the dust? Ha. Like clawing your way to the top of the heap. Only to find more heap. Stop Chuck, show us a picture….something tranquilo.

Donkeys on Grass

Now isn’t that something. Hand fed Donkey grass. This is what we’ve been waiting for. All entertaining Chuck, how about something enlightening…enriching…enticing. The Rooster crows at midnight. No Chuck. Not what I’m thinking.

Tuesday 26 January begins the required Covid testing in order to travel internationally to the US. Wait Chuck, we’re in Mexico…that means us. Uh-oh. Should have stayed home. No beach for you. That ship has sailed Chuck. Speaking of ships Chuck, you were supposed to be doing your bucket list…um…bucket item…since there was only one item on the list. “Jay – tell them what they’ve won”…..”You’ve won…wait for it…wait for it….you’ve won an “AROUND THE WORLD CRUISE”. Oh how exciting, I can’t wait. Well you’ll have to cause I have good and bad news. Give it to me. After winning an around the world cruise….what could be bad? Give me the good news Chuck. The good news is….you ”won the cruise”. Yippee. The bad news is Chuck….“you’re ship sunk”. Struck a covid rock and gashed a hole in the hull and took on water. Just be glad you weren’t on board when it happened Chuck, you would have gone down with the ship.

So what is the message here Chuck? The message here is plan the plans for your life and not the outcomes. Leave the outcomes to the Universe, God or your Higher Power whatever that may look like or be called. Remember, its not what happens to us thats important…its how we accept, deal with, resonate, have faith in, and trust in what happens to us that’s important. That for whatever reason….which may never be revealed….it is for the best. Acceptance Chuck. Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. Sail on Chuck, sail on.

Divine intervention, I agree, who are we thinking we are smart enough to plan things when the Divine knows all, hears all and sees all.😇
