Ka…ching. Finally some good news. How much? $25 million. Thats $25,000,000.00. Wowzer. Dreams come true. Where do I start to spend that? Wait. Wait for what? Wait for the bait. That was the bait. Let me understand, you’re trying to get $25m out of your country, and need my help, and you can’t even spell my name correctly. What good fortune befalls me. All you need me to do is wire you $325.00 to cover the transfer fee, through any of the international money send apps, or just buy $325.00 at Amazon in gift cards and send to you. And then…ka…ching…you wire me the money. 🤔 What could possibly go wrong? 🧐
Am I the only one in the world 🌎 that receives these generous offers? I’ve asked my friends is they’ve been the recipient of millions of dollars and they say “no”. So lucky me. Everyone around the world wants to send me millions. Why do I keep refusing such generosities?
I am astounded at all the scams being sent daily through email. Your package has arrived, you’ve won, your grandchild has been arrested, your bank has been hacked, on and on. Must be lucrative cause it continues to flow in. Bandits, crooks, conmen and conwomen and cons in transit. Not yet one or the other, and can’t decide which way to go.
Panama
Do Panama hats (sombreros) actually come from Panama. Drum roll…..and the answer is….”no”. A Panama hat, also known as an Ecuadorian hat, a jipijapa hat, or a toquilla straw hat, is a traditional brimmed straw hat of Ecuadorian origin. 🤔 Now I didn’t know that…and neither do some Panamanian’s.
There are some magnificent beaches in Panama…both on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. Panama has both. The country runs East and West at 8* North latitude. To the East you’ll find Colombia, and to the West, Costa Rica. Panama about the size of South Carolina with +/- 4 million souls. With one major highway running through the country, which at time becomes congested and can delay your 30 minute commute by hours. Aptly named Highway 1. Like clockwork, the Sun makes its appearance at 6:30 am and departure 12 hours later. Tides change every 6 hours and at full moon can vary +/- by 20’.
Okay, thats my blah blah blah for today. Perhaps next week will be more inspiring. Wait, I’m assuming this was inspiring. How presumptuous. If you enjoy this weekly dose of inspiration, share it with a friend. If you don’t enjoy it, keep it to yourself.
Remember to find one thing to complement the next person you come in contact with…their smile, their dress, their sense of humor, their perfume, their hair, their nails, you get the picture. And don’t forget to look at their shoes. And if you can’t find one thing, you’re not looking hard enough….Yogi.
To awaken each morning with a smile brightening my face;
to greet the day with reverence for the opportunities it contains;
to approach my work with a clean mind;
to hold ever before me, even in the doing of little things,
the Ultimate Purpose toward which I am working;
to meet men and women with laughter on my lips and love in my heart;
to be gentle, kind, and courteous through all the hours;
to approach the night with weariness that ever woos sleep
and the joy that comes from work well done
—this is how I desire to waste wisely my days.
