Okay here we go Chuck…it’s Valentines Day, Heart Day, Love Day. Did you get your Special Person something Chuck? I hope so. It’s always nice to be remembered and loved. Even if its just yourself – you can always buy yourself a flower and a chocolate.
That’s one thing about life Chuck, wherever you go, there you are. People sometimes ask…”Do you have a Best Friend”? Why yes I do. That would be me. Because everytime I turn around, there I am. I always seem to be hanging out with “me”. So If I don’t treat myself good, then I’m going to lose a friend who’s always been with me. Hmmm…go ponder that Chuck. And while you’re pondering that, take a look at this.
Wow what is that? That would be the morning jogging path through the Jungle to the beach. That’s beautiful Chuck and it looks peaceful and tranquil. In Spanish tranquil is “Tranquilo”…(masculine) and “Tranquila”…(feminine). Heres a head scratcher Chuck…why is Tequila only called “Tequila and not Tequilo”? Because if it was called “Tequilo” that would be plagiarism from that famous movie…”Tequilo Mockingbird”.
Do you like to explore? Like taking a road you’ve never been down before. That could be scary not knowing what lies ahead. Oh, that exhiliarting feeling of anxiousness and surprise. In taking the walk we found this giant old tree.
Okay doesn’t look so big to me. Hmmm we need a gauge, a yardstick to really show the size of that tree compared to a human.
If that tree could talk just think of what it could tell. Just how many lovers kissed under that tree in the moonlight. So taking new roads to new places leads to new discoveries. And look what was discovered on Cobblestone street.
So vivid, so colorful as life should be. How do we make our lifes more vibrant…perhaps we become the brush and our surroundings become the canvas. Whats the message here Chuck? The message is that we need to become willing to ”become willing” and say “yes” to all the possibilities of life and love and happiness. To take more risks, to walk down new paths, and to color our lifes the way we want it to appear. Be the brush Chuck, Be the brush.
So there you have it. A Valentine’s Day greeting. And not to get too mushy or emotionally reflective, this day always reminds me of the joys and sorrows that life brings. Such a sorrow was the passing of my father on this day. There is a smile and a tear that remains in my memory each passing year on this day. So reach out, tell someone you love them, smile at a stranger, be the person you’d like to meet. Be the Brush.
I love you
Thanks Brother – I love you too…!!
Very nicely written, Yogi!
I met your father one time. It was my pleasure! Great photos!
Glad you enjoyed the post Rod – and thank you for remembering my Papa. The years go past us too quickly.
