Wow Chuck…what’s that? Not what but who….that’s RANGO. RANGO? That thing has a name? I’ve never heard of a RANGO before. No Chuck, its name is RANGO. I don’t know what RANGO is except gentle and alive. Can I pet RANGO…do I want to pet RANGO? Sure. No problem. RANGO let me brush him up and down and put his foot (claw..beats me) around my finger and oh so gentle.
Thats a chameleon Chuck. As I gazed upon RANGO, my thoughts turned to “what a beautiful creature”. God done good with RANGO.
Before I open my trap, is what Im about to say do or think going to benefit anyone in any way….if not….keep my trap shut. Thats a lesson to live by.
Well Chuck, now that you’re on the digital expressway which way do we go? Who cares. Just drive. Remember when we didn’t have a destination? We would just go “cruisin”.
Hey want to go “cruisin” Chuck? Don’t know what “cruisin” is? Thats where we get in the car and cruise. You know…go somewhere, just ride, drive around, see things, have fun. Stuff like that. By the way I think its cruising not ”cruisin”. You’re so hard on me Chuck…you want everything to be perfect…and what is perfect Chuck? Stop you’re distracting me, we were going cruisin. Just get in the car.
Perfectionism. Thats a long word Chuck. Know what it means? Yep sure do…it means driving me crazy thats what it means. You remember the good Catholic school mantra Chuck….
“Good Better Best….Never Let it Rest…till your Good is your Better and your Better is your Best”. You’re killing me Chuck. I’m just trying to have fun. You’re always striving, never arriving.
Take the first exit Chuck, this expressway is just too fast for me. You know the feeling….next exit coming up. Oh look at all the choices there are. Hotels…Starbucks…Fuel…and so many signs, so many competing for your business. I’m looking for the sign that says “Next Exit – Peace and Serenity”. Find a gentle back country road where we can put the windows down, breath some country air, see something besides traffic ahead and behind, slow to a speed we can hear and smell. Chuck, take some time to smell and maybe grab an ice cream.
This vendor lady and her daughter out on the beach everyday selling their wares….ice cream cones. How wonderful to see. Contentment, pushing a cart around in the sand selling ice cream, bringing smiles to others while making a meager living. It’s refreshing Chuck.
And at the end of the day, when all is said and done, when more is said than done, we can all settle down and reflect upon our day. Was it good? Did I bring a smile to a face today? How about your own….?
